JCP&L will be working in the vault in front of 5 South Street on Thursday 1/2/20 and Friday 1/3/20. They intend to only work within the vault area under the sidewalk. The vault cover at this vault was damaged earlier in the month and has a steel plate covering the vault presently. JCP&L will be replacing the transformer in the vault, and after which they intend on repairing and replacing the vault cover that was damaged during repairs in early December.
Thursday and Friday’s work is in preparation to take the old transformer off line and to replace it with the new one. Date TBD.
Police will post 6 parking meters on Wednesday and Thursday nights, from the crosswalk at South St. and West. Park Pl. (AT&T store,) down to in front of Revolution. 6 parking stalls on the Eastbound side of South St. to accommodate the work on both Thursday and Friday, 01/02 and 01/03. The prohibition will be from 7 am until 3 pm.
