On Saturday, March 9, the annual Morris County St. Patrick’s Day parade will be held in Morristown. Starting from Town Hall at noon, the parade will head west on South Street, will go around the Green, and will continue west on Washington Street. Thousands of people are expected in Morristown as this event typically draws a large crowd of spectators.
The Morristown Bureau of Police will be implementing road closures between 11:00 and 11:15 am. Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced along the parade route with vehicles being ticketed and towed if illegally parked.
Detours will be in place for the duration of the parade but motorists should expect significant traffic delays between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. Motorists transiting through Morristown should plan additional time or alternate routes during those times.
