Morristown Partnership is Special Improvement District (SID) created in 1994, designated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. It supports Morristown’s vibrant business district by developing private/public partnerships among business, government, civic and community members. It is self-funded partly through special assessments on commercial properties located in the SID, foundation and/or government grants, promotional participation, sponsorships for community events and financial & in-kind donations. The Morristown Partnership consists of more than 400 commercial properties and 1,000+ businesses physically located in the SID.
Morristown Partnership supports the ongoing revitalization of the central business district in the Town of Morristown through economic development initiatives in areas of communications, business recruitment and retention, marketing, promotions, events, redevelopment and capital improvement projects. The organization is committed to championing dynamic projects and supporting all efforts to ensure that the municipality continues to be attractive to local businesses and investors.
The Morristown Partnership is governed by a District Management Corporation (DMC) created by the Town Council at the time the special improvement district was introduced and approved. The DMC is directed by a 17 member Board of Trustees comprised of:
The 15-business/property owner Trustees are elected by the constituency for three year terms. An election is held annually with five seats available each year.
Board meetings are held in-person at the Morristown Partnership and virtually on Zoom the second Wednesday of the month at 8:00 a.m. (No meetings are held in August and December).

Business Sector Engagement
Identifies and addresses the unique needs of local businesses. Enhances visibility and strengthens partnerships to support sustained growth and collaboration through targeted initiatives.
Financial Strategy & Business Development
Enhances the financial sustainability of the Morristown Partnership and maximizes stakeholder value through strategies aimed at offsetting Special Improvement District assessment funds. Offers assistance in recruitment endeavors, working closely with stakeholders to attract and onboard new investment in Morristown.
Marketing & Promotion
Assists in the communication of Morristown Partnership’s marketing campaigns and dissemination promotional materials, providing assistance in fostering engagement from both board members and constituents.
Public Affairs & Advocacy
Participates actively in public policy, government affairs, and community relations on behalf of Morristown Partnership or constituents. Develops relationships with government and fosters engagement with the community in order to share accomplishments and navigate challenges. Encourages constituents to actively participate in advocating for their interests by providing them with information on local business issues.
