December brings the ‘North Pole at North Park Place’ to Morristown
The Morristown Partnership is pleased to announce that Santa will be visiting Morristown beginning Saturday, Dec. 5th, families are welcome to visit the ‘North Pole at North Park Place’ which will offer children the opportunity to see Santa at the end of a socially distant stroll to 17 North Park Place; visitors will be able to communicate with Santa through the window. The North Pole at North Park Place will be welcoming visitors on Saturdays and Sundays between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th & 20th. No food and/or drink will be permitted, social distancing markers will be provided and masks must be worn by visitors at all times.
For over 100 years, generations of residents and visitors have come to the heart of downtown Morristown to enjoy the magic of the holiday season. It began in 1913 with a small group of festive volunteers lighting a single star atop one tree on the Morristown Green. As in years past, the Morristown Partnership will once again brighten the season with holiday lights on the Green for all to enjoy. Santa’s mailbox will be located on the Green and accept letters from children throughout the month.
Mask up and plan your holiday shopping, dining, take-out or curbside pickup in Morristown to coincide with the holiday cheer.

We are in close communication with Town of Morristown officials and the Morristown Health Division. Our team is utilizing an operations plan with recommended protocols to ensure that the North Pole at North Park Place is meeting all standards set by our public health officials.
In addition to the standards we have all been following, like wearing masks and frequent hand washing, we have specific requests in place for this special event:
- Line capacity is limited to 25 visitors, you may be asked to return to the North Pole at a later time and/or time and date
- Reservations are highly recommended via North Pole Reservations
- Use the designated entry (1 North Park Place) and exit point (17 North Park Place)
- Please limit your group to household members only
- Keep a safe distance from the other visitors waiting in line
- Remember to look for the social distancing sidewalk stickers to use as a guide
- Wear face coverings and follow CDC guidelines for proper use of them while at the North Pole
- Prepare ahead of time (visit the North Pole page on www.morristown-nj.org/northpole to be better prepared for the operations that will be taking place this year)
- Try to keep your visit with Santa short and sweet!
- Remember there are other people in line and capacity restrictions require MP to keep line moving efficiently
- All MP Christmas Festival at the Morristown Green on-site activities such as the Santa House, kid’s train, ice sculpting demonstrations, activity tent, etc. are cancelled in 2020.
- We want customers to have a positive experience at the North Pole, but the current focus will be on providing a safe and efficient visit with Santa
- Be patient as the organizers and visitors adapt to new and changing protocols

We take our responsibility to provide a safe experience for our guests and team very seriously. We are adjusting our operations plan as required by state and local authorities. We ask that you check our social media or website every week before coming to the North Pole to remain up to date on any changes to our operations. Safety Procedures
PREPARING TO VISIT
- Reservations are highly recommended via North Pole Reservations
- Take the Coronavirus Self-Checker from the CDC before heading to the North Pole at North Park Place (North Pole)
- Please DO NOT come to visit Santa at the North Pole if:
- You were told to quarantine or told to isolate
- You are awaiting COVID-19 test results
- You are not feeling well
- You have recently been in contact with someone who has tested or is presumed positive for COVID-19
- You are a high-risk individual
- Face coverings are required; masks must be properly fitting and cover the mouth and nose
- Learn more about face coverings from the CDC
- No smoking or vaping will be permitted while standing in line and/or visiting with Santa
- No food or drink will be permitted in line and/or visiting with Santa
- To visit Santa and enter the North Pole, you must go through the designated entry point (1 North Park Place, near Century 21 Department Store) and wait in a barricaded line
- Access to see Santa will only be permitted through this entry point
- While in line, there will be sidewalk stickers indicating where you should stand to remain at least 6 feet socially distanced from other visitors in line
- Avoid touching your face and cell phone to reduce the potential spread of germs
- We ask that visitors planning to come only do so with their immediate household
- Parties larger than 5 persons will not be allowed to stand together in the line and will have to remain socially distant
AT HOME VISITOR SELF ASSESSMENT

- Line capacity is limited to 25 visitors, you may be asked to return to the North Pole at a later time and/or time and date
- Please limit your group to household members only
- Follow all signage and MP team member instructions for visiting Santa or seeing the decorations
- Please proceed through the barricaded line and visit with Santa in an expedited fashion
- Avoid touching any decorations on or around the North Pole event site to reduce the potential spread of germs. This includes solitary decorations, window décor, selfie wall, Santa Window, etc.
- The North Pole has procedures in place to ensure your health and safety via signage, social media and MP staff directions. Please follow them!
- Practice safe social and physical distancing, keeping in mind that the CDC recommends keeping at least 6 feet between you and the next person
- Immediately notify the Morristown Health Division when made aware of a positive staff or visitor who attended the event. Notifications are to be reported to (973) 631-5484 during business hours and after hours to (973) 285-2900
