Morristown, NJ – Morristown’s destination status confirmed! Thanks to the combined efforts of the Morristown Partnership and Morris Arts, industry and art will once again come together to create Meet Me in Morristown, a summer-long event that promotes arts and culture, as well as the downtown economy.
“The event is an amazing partnership combining local businesses, downtown development and marketing organizations with arts organizations” said Kaity DeLaura, Creative Engagement Manager at Morris Arts, adding “it’s about making art accessible to everyone”.
Now in it’s fifth year, Meet Me in Morristown will transform the downtown into a center for art, music and fun with artists and performers lining the sidewalks and highlighting different business neighborhoods. A town-wide permit allows select visual artists to showcase and sell their artwork while Morristown businesses remain open later and host sidewalk sales and demonstrations. Entertainment will include Secret Sound, The Atlanta Café Band, The Outcrops and The Break Lights featured on the Morristown Green and in July on the Vail Mansion Lawn.
Over 40 Morristown stores, restaurants and service-based businesses are participating throughout the summer. Participants include: Enjou Chocolat of Morristown, Seasons Olive Oil and Vinegar Taproom, South Street Yoga and Nutrition, Learning Express Toys, Braunschweiger Jewelers, 18|8 Fine Men’s Salon, 70 South Gallery, Tashmoo Restaurant and Bar, JackRabbit Morristown, Willow St, Inc. , Lunchbox Wax Salon, NBD Training Zone, SmartWorld Coffee, Powerflow Yoga, Massage Heights , Original Pure Pita, Glassworks Studio, AT&T Mobility , George & Martha’s , United States Army, Lauren B, Urban Renew, Athleta , Pavesi, Original Music School , Express Frames, Square Luggage, 23 South, Just Jersey, Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Morristown, Green Point Juicery, Anais Boutique, Capital One Bank , Bubba Rose Biscuit Co., Pinot’s Palette, Kilwins, 4Ever Michelle Boutique, Barre3 Morristown, Salon Botanique and Atlantic Stewardship Bank.
