County College of Morris' Main Stage:

Joe Bilotti & Friends

Joe Bilotti's "Heart of Gold Band" is a musical supergroup that features some of the finest musicians in the Morris County area. Led by Joe Bilotti, a reputed guitarist and music professor at the County College of Morris, the group is comprised of local music legends Joan Bujacich, Joe Howell, John Hummel, Victor Ristoppia, and Teresa Roccanova. Each performer has made waves in the music business in such groups as Parrotbeach, Eastern Potata, The Joanie Beau Band, The Sunshine Revolution, and Bilotti's main act, The Soft Parade: Tribute to the Doors.  A Google search on any of these musicians will uncover a wealth of musical achievement over many years of activity. Interestingly, Bilotti unites this particular lineup because of his longtime connection to each of these musicians over a 25-year span--especially Howell and Hummel, who together formed the Eastern Potata band when they were just teenagers. For this concert, the group will be featuring classic music of such artists as Steely Dan, Neil Young, David Bowie, CSN, Elton John, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. Witnessing Joe Bilotti's "Heart of Gold Band" in action, one can only marvel at the skills of these fine musicians and the joy they share in recreating some of the most popular music of all time...Don't miss it!

The Original Music School at Schuyler Place:

The Original Music School (OMS) serves as the Morristown area's bastion of creativity and talent providing a 3,000 square foot professional recording studio and a unique music school. At OMS, students' lesson plans are as varied as their interests in both curriculum and intensity.  Instrument lessons range from casual group instruction on the basics of a given instrument, to one on one private college preparatory lessons that include Berklee College of Music lesson books and in depth music theory instruction.

The cornerstone of OMS is it's one of kind songwriting class, in which earnest songwriters find OMS a great place to bring their existing band, join a new band or work as a solo artist depending on their particular needs.  In this class, students learn to be creative and productive even when that flash of inspiration is not at hand.  They also learn about strong lyric writing, rhyme schemes, song form, composition, effective practice techniques, and the science and art of record production.

When class is not in session, OMS is the area's top recording facility providing great gear and staff members who have worked with GRAMMY award winning producers and engineers, and whose work has been on network television and airplay around the world. www.originalmusicschool.com
