The Morristown Partnership is joining forces with the Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center of Morristown at the 2010 Morristown Farmers Market every Sunday beginning June 20 through October 31st. To help the Community Soup Kitchen's (CSK) 'Healthy Choice' program by providing nutritious, Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables to their 300 daily visitors, 365 days a week, five Morristown Farmers Market vendors and a baker agreed to generously donate, when possible, some of their surplus upon Market closing each Sunday at 2:00pm. ER & Son Organic Farm, Grossman Farm, Michisk Farm, Pittstown Fruit Farm, Union Hill Farm and Bakers Bounty are on board to help support those less fortunate in our community. Alstede Farms, another regular at our Market, already donates surplus produce on a weekly basis to CSK. What can our Farmers Market visitors do? We invite them to, when possible, donate a piece of fresh produce just purchased at the Market and drop it off in the clearly-marked CSK Vessel on any given Sunday.
