Self-nominations for five (5) seats on the Morristown Partnership Special Improvement District (SID) Board of Trustees are now being accepted in writing from members who wish to serve for a three-year term beginning May 1, 2017 through April 30, 2020. Nomination forms must be received in the Morristown Partnership office by Friday, March 24, 2017, no later than 5:00pm. As in previous years, an election will be conducted by mail in April.
In order to be listed on the Ballot of Nominees, you must be an SID member (an owner of commercial real estate that is subject to assessment or the owner of a business, or the authorized representative and employee of an owner of a business, located in an assessed property within the Special Improvement District; specific requirements can be found in the Corporation's By-Laws). This would exclude church, governmental, non-profit or residential properties.
Responsibilities of a Trustee:
First and foremost you must have a fervent interest in downtown Morristown's future. Attend monthly Board meetings held the second Wednesday of each month at 8:00am at the Morristown Partnership office, comply with the SID's Conflict of Interest Policy and support Morristown Partnership community events and/or Annual Appeal.

Any applications received after that date will not be accepted and the applicant will be ineligible to run.
